Tessa Thompson
The actor Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on the 3rd of October 1983, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She grew up within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Thompson is Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian heritage. Thompson went to Santa Monica High School, which was where she performed in several theatre productions. Following her graduation, she went to Santa Monica College where she obtained a degree in cultural Anthropology. In the role of Juliet, she portrayed the play by William Shakespeare "Romeo as well as Juliet" during a Pasadena California production by The Boston Court Theatre. Her performance from earned her the NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Apart from the on stage, in 2005 Tessa made her first television appearance when she starred in the CBS television series
