Srushti Deshmukh has started preparations for the UPSC entry in her 3rd year in engineering. After her graduation, she questioned whether she could be happy working in an engineering position. Then, she realised civil engineering was her love and decided to pursue it. The parents of her encouraged her to pursue civil service, and to pursue an opportunity to work in public service. She was motivated to become an IAS officer and was focused on that goal. The work required to get UPSC. As she studied for her engineering classes, she used to also prepare different subjects in UPSC. Exam preparation consumed time every single day. She completed her engineering tests in only one-and-a-half months and stayed away from social activities. It is important to focus to pass this exam. She hopes to be a civil servant. She made a lot of effort to ensure she passed the test in her first attempt. Every day, she reads newspapers in order to be up to date with the latest news. Additionally, she received a lot of help online, by accumulating studying materials as well as watching Rajya Sabha TV.
