Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career at an early age. When she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was both critically and critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning beautiful diva. Alexandra is well known for her involvement in many notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. Among others, these projects include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
